Fly fishing over Memorial Day weekend - part 2
This is the second part of my solo trip over Memorial day weekend to some of my favorite lakes. A couple lakes were pretty much busts, but I got into some nice fish at a few lakes. At one of the lakes, I was hooking up constantly with chironomids both using a midge tip line and hanging them under an indicator. It was a super fun trip---thanks for tagging along

I took my brother-in-law and nephew out to a favorite lake to do some indicator fly fishing. I got my nephew a youth fly fishing combo for Christmas and he was able to catch his first fish on it. We enjoyed some good food and had a blast watching our indicators go down over and over again. It's adventure time friends lets go!

Fast action fly fishing at the Scud Factory.

I went back to the Scud Factory with my dad and college fishing buddy for some post ice off action. The ice had only been off for a couple weeks and the bite was on. We landed around 80 fish and missed many more. Our indicators were going down constantly. We were fishing with an assortment of my balanced flies and caught fish with everything we tried.

A group of friends and I including fellow UA-camr Utah Water Log went fishing at Deer Creek reservoir on kayaks, float tubes and my Flycraft Stealth. We were both fly fishing and using spin rods. This was part of a three day trip where I took my float tube to various lakes. This particular lake kicks out nice splake and brook trout. It was a fairly windy day and pretty challenging but I got into some nice fish. The fish were in the mood to eat damsel nymphs. Thanks for tagging along on adventure time.

This is just a short video of two different trips where I got into some fat tiger trout and some chunky rainbows. I took my float tube out to go after some tigers at the one lake and just fished from shore for rainbows at the other. I was using balanced scuds for the tigers and balanced leeches for the rainbows.

I went back to a favorite lake with a friend and our dads. This particular lake has a history of kicking out very healthy fish and this trip did not disappoint. We got into quite a few fish including some nice ones. Thanks for tagging along on another episode of adventure time.

I stopped at a favorite lake on my way home from a trip. I took my float tube out for a few hours and experienced some of the fastest action of my life on a fly rod for tigers and rainbows. I was using balanced leeches, scuds and hares ears under an indicator. I had a blast watching that indicator go down over and over again. Have you tried water lily Lake in the past few years? The one by Swift Creek. I can’t make the climb anymore.

I actually did that trip again a month ago. It's super fun--I'd recommend it.
Forgot to ask! How do you like the Scott session vs the centric? I own a centric, wondering how it compares to the session.
So far, I really like it. I wanted a 10 ft 6 wt but they only make the it in a 9 1/2 ft. They feel very similar--standard fast with feel that you get with Scott rods.
Insane! My honest reaction to this is how in the world did you get a float tube up there? I'm pretty sure I took the wrong way getting to this one... 😅

@@KBBOUTDOORS There are likely a few goldens still in there. They have managed to spawn in there in very limited numbers over the years
